MMMM 2012 has grown with the introduction of the Mining Sector to this year’s show

Mining is one of the most important sectors in minerals & metallurgical industry. In India, 80% of mining is in coal sector and the balance 20% is in various metals and other raw materials such as iron, aluminum, copper, lead, zinc, manganese, uranium, gold, nonmetallic minerals, etc.

The mining industry is strategically one of the most important industries in the Indian
economy. Besides ongoing modernization in the existing mining industry, a
comprehensive effort is currently taking place to prospect for new mineral deposits, so as to increase the known reserves.

Improving the resource base and exploitation of mineral resources remains one of the most important geological and economic tasks in India. The mining sector at MMMM 2012 will create new business opportunities and provide a platform to access new trends and technologies in mineral exploration, surface mining, underground mining, processing, transportation, smelting, refining, energy supply and environmental facilities.
